Explore our park-like setting on the trails throughout the property. Just about every flower, tree or plant found in the Big Thicket can be found here. Find one of our many quiet areas to stop and meditate, read or bird watch. Look for the giant Pileated or the tiny Red Cockaded Woodpeckers in the woods. Along the rivers edge you may see Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles, Red Shouldered Hawks, Ospreys and Kingfishers among many others. There are also many trails close by for hiking in the National Forest.

La Paz has a floating dock where you can park your boat or Personal Water Craft – or simply park yourself and watch the river flow by.
