Policies of La Paz Bed and Breakfast

Payment for your stay at La Paz is received at the time of your reservation. Cancellations for non-holiday stays must be made at least 14 days prior to the booked date(s) in order to receive a refund. If you have made reservations for a holiday (listed below) you must cancel 30 days prior in order to receive a refund. There are NO REFUNDS for the MONTH OF DECEMBER. Customers usually make their plans well in advance for this month. This fact makes it practically impossible for us to rebook during this time.
There is a $35 processing fee for any refund.

New Year’s Day (Dec. 31 – Jan. 1)
Easter Weekend (Fri – Sun)
Memorial Day Weekend (Fri – Mon)
Independence Day – July 3 – July 5
Labor Day Weekend (Fri – Mon)
Thanksgiving Day Week (Wed – Sun)
Christmas Day – no refunds for cancellation of December reservations

Pets of any kind are not allowed at La Paz.

There is no smoking allowed anywhere indoors at La Paz. You will be charged $250 for smoking in your room. There are ash trays available in the wicker desk on the porch for those wishing to smoke on the porch. Smokers, please be considerate of other guests. Please do not throw any butts on the ground. WE ARE IN A NATIONAL FOREST.

Risks and Responsibilities
La Paz is a natural setting which comes with the obvious hazards. Please be careful of holes in the ground that may be hidden, poisonous snakes and poison ivy. We do want you to enjoy the grounds here at La Paz but do so at your own risk.
Any guests choosing to use our kayaks or canoes must wear a life jacket. We can furnish those. Be aware of a loud horn signaling the imminent opening of gates at the dam. When these gates open, the water level can rise quickly and dramatically and the current could become hazardous to kayakers and canoeists. We do want you to enjoy the water craft here at La Paz but do so at your own risk.

Adult supervision is required for children under 10 while on La Paz property including but not limited to the playroom, playground, docks and trails.

Customer will be responsible for the costs to remediate any damages you (or anyone in your party) cause to our property that are beyond reasonable and normal wear and tear.

Customer information is collected for the purpose of processing your order. This information is kept confidential and is not shared. We sometimes use data collection devices such as “cookies” on certain pages of the Site to measure effectiveness and safety. A “cookie” is a small file that gets placed on your hard drive that helps us provide our services. You are free to decline cookies if you choose to.

Personal information collected: Name; Address; Phone Number; E-mail Address; Credit Card Information (card number, expiration date, CVV number, Zip Code).
Credit Card information is not retained.

We may use your phone number or e-mail address to communicate with you about your reservation. We may use your e-mail address to send your confirmation of your reservation or to ask you for a review after your stay with us. Again, this information is kept confidential and is not shared.
